I've been here twice, once for dinner and I had my bridal shower here. Both times it was a nice experience. The eggplant parm is pretty good (I'm super picky with this because my dad makes the best). It was a good place to have an event. We had the entire garden dining room. It was a nice bright, airy room. All of the guests complimented the food. I found the management and staff to be friendly and helpful. The food can be a little on the pricier side for a young cheap person, but with a coupon you get a big meal for a decent price. Typically I reserve 4 stars for places I frequent a lot, but that's a pretty arbitrary reason to knock them down to 3.

My wife, a very good cook, said that for a pasta dish with seafood for $26 should have fresh and not commercial pasta, as well as a velveeta sauce. Seafood qty was OK and the wine also, hence the 2 stars.

My wife and I like to go to the little local places for good food. The ambience was very nice. Our appetizer with mozzarella and tomatoes was delicious. We ordered an entree with chicken and unfortunately the chicken tasted funny, but the pasta and sauce was fantastic. We will give this place another try, but I will avoid the chicken. It tasted like it had been frozen for weeks and then overcooked.

Great brick oven wood fire pizza! Some of the best I have had in the area. That's saying alot from a girl from Chicago who is really picky about her pizza... Aside from the awesome food, you really can't beat the ambiance in this cozy little place. Almost all of the tables had a great view of the brick oven. They also have almost a greenhouse patio that is beautifully decorated with white lights and green foilage. It almost makes it seem like you are outside but not exposed to the wind. Great food, great prices and great ambiance. This place is definitely worth checking out.

Whenever I am asked for a recommendation for a restaurant in Ellicott City, Stella Notte is what I tell people! Hands down, never disappointed, very consistent and nice lively bar with friendly folks. Fabulous food! Pizza I dream of, salads so creative and fresh. Nice desserts. Some of the best wait staff and long tenured team at the establishment, so I am not certain how bad service happens here (as prior review stated.) If the chef has a breather, he comes out to say hello and makes recommendations and he is such a wonderful and talented professional! My business contacts meet me here and love the place too. If I was from out of town and needed a great go-to spot, this would be the place I would hope someone would recommend to me! Buon Appettito! Ciao!

The food is outstanding and the service is excellent. It feels homey and like they just want you to relax and have a nice meal. We stopped by early on New Year's Eve without a reservation hoping we could grab a quick bite. The staff went out of their way to fit us in and made us welcome.

This is my favorite local Italian place. We go here about once a month. Nothing is ever bad. The enclosed patio is kind of bizarre with the fake trees and birds and Ms. Kay is always entertaining.

We had a large vegetable pizza and it was clearly made of good stringy cheese like we used to see as kids decades ago, fresh vegetables, and a quality bread. Generally we prefer well done but since we forgot to request it the temperature was a bit lower than we would have liked. The restaurant itself looks so-so from the outside, however inside it's nice. They have three main areas - bar with TV where the Ravens fans were watching a game, formal area where the brick oven is, and a greenhouse area with patio type tables and chairs where we comfortably sat. We will return and I anticipate increasing my rating.

Very disappointed. Tried the restaurant after reading the the great reviews. Definitely more expensive than expected. $18 for an eggplant parmesan that was terrible. Three thin strips of mushy eggplant on maybe a quarter cup of bow tie pasta with smattering of dry and over baked red sauce. This dish would have been proud to even make it to Olive Garden standards. Stuffed shrimp were bland and crab filling watery mush. Calamari appetizer just under par. Side order of meatballs was outstanding. Bill over a hundred dollars for two meals with two drinks.

We had a coupon so we decided to try it out, it was pretty good. Food was very tasty and the staff was very friendly. We loved the seating around the pizza oven. It was a little over priced we were glad we had a coupon.

Being a little bit of an Italian food snob due to being in an Italian family, Stella Notte rises to the occasion. We tried this place because of the clipper coupon and it was one of the best decisions we (as a family) have made. The food is delicious and rich in flavor and the workers are so friendly. I never order spaghetti at an Italian restaurant but decided to try it here... My jaw was on the floor! The sauce tastes like it has been cooking for days and is delicious just the right flavor that has a home made feel. The bread and oil with seasoning is a great addition to the meal as well. The chicken Marsala and calves liver Leonardo are phenomenal and it's always a good idea to check out the daily specials. Head to stella Notte when they have their pizza specials or their half price pasta nights.. It's worth it!

Lived near this restaurant for years and never went in because it looks a little depressing from the outside. Don't be put off by the exterior...this was actually very good italian food and EXCELLENT service. It does need and interior and exterior facelift. Sundays had 1/2 price wine and kids eat free, what a good deal! Our server was attentive and we had a great meal...delicious bread (refilled twice) with olive oil, salads were fresh (homemade croutons), food piping hot and tasted very good. Nice wine list too!

We had a great meal here early Saturday evening. The service was excellent as well. I think our server's name was Kevin. Very polite, very friendly, and very attentive. This is only our second time here, but we will be coming back. I had the shrimp Stella Notte, which was excellent!

Have only been here once but they have some of the best pizza in the area.

I ate here this past Saturday for the first time and overall it was a very underwhelming meal. The staff were nice and the atmosphere was cute, but I was a little confused by the covered sunroom area, fake tree complete with bird house...the food was the worst part of the experience. This tends to be a little bit of an issue when you are after all going out to eat. The menu in my opinion was wayyy to large. It made it really hard to read and decide what I wanted. Instead of having so many fair options I would have rather had a couple really good options. The menu included fried macaroni and cheese and a Greek salad, found all of this a little confusing and discombobulated. I choose the lasagna and house salad. The lasagna was very disappointing, for starters it was cold when it came out which I am not sure I understand considering the fact that it most likely was already cooked and just had to be heated up. I thought that it also lacked seasoning; needless to say I had one bite and decided that it was good enough. The highlight of dinner was the bread it was very good but not sure that it would warrant a trip to the restaurant. I thought the food was overpriced for what I was getting, quality wise. I have to say that I agree with a past reviewer who said that you could get a better meal at Olive Garden for a fraction of the price. I really wanted to like this place and was disappointed when I found it so hard to do so.

My wife and I went there on a Friday night. We were greeted by Miss Kay, very nice lady, tried to steer us to some side tables, we demurred and we ate in the enclosed dining area, much nicer. The Service was really good, our server was attentive, and very pleasant. The first appetizer (Rice Balls) arrived burned inedible. The server quickly turned them around to a fresh batch that were delicious. My wife had a delicious martini. I ordered the seafood pizza, really good and enough to take home, she had the Scallops Michelangelo scallops in lavender sauce sounds delicious? IT"S NOT! the lavender sauce has a strange off-putting taste and the scallops really are fried, not sauteed, so they are chewy, flavorless, and unpleasant. Overall a loser of a dish. Worth repeating? sure, I like to support local business, especially those that are not chains and thus have some personality. But personality is not always good. Did I mention I liked the pizza?

Since I'm a person who's not really HUGE on Italian food (it's a bit too heavy for me, usually), take my review with a grain of salt as far as the food. First off, the atmosphere is SO fantastic. We wound up at the restaurant last year because my dad had won a gift certificate from an event at school. Walking in the door, we were greeted with a warm smile and walked past the brick ovens to our table. Decor is really cozy - we were seated in that windowed patio area which had a kind of fun fake tree growing in the middle. We got bread and olive oil while we looked over our menus. I can't quite remember what we all ordered. I know I got some simple pizza, which I remember liking enough. Dad had shrimp scampi, which he liked. (I thought it was fine, but I find shrimp scampi to be heavy in general because of my palate.) Not quite sure what my mom and brother ordered though. I think my parents also got a bottle of red wine? But I could be mistaken. All in all, it was a pretty good meal (considering I don't love Italian food at all). I really liked the atmosphere of the restaurant. The food was fine, although a bit on the pricey side. I would recommend it as an Italian place to try, but again, since I don't eat much Italian food, I can't really say much about the quality of the food, and that's why I'm giving it only 3 stars.

I thought this restaurant quite good for a Howard County. I had the ginger and lime shrimp scampi. Very flavorful and served piping hot. Also sampled the mushroom ravioli which was full-flavored and perfectly cooked. Chicken marsala is a staple in most Italian places. There were no complaints. The service was very friendly and attentive. The dining room was quiet. Recommended.

The family and I have always had pleasant experiences when we visited. Had our daughter's rehearsal dinner there (we took up the entire sunroom area with 60 guests) and the staff took great care of us.

I love in the area and love to support local businesses, so this restaurant is definitely one of my go to's. The decor is amazing, I especially love the outdoor/indoor patio. I can't exactly explain the decor in a manner that would do it justice, but just go and you'll see what I mean. Unfortunately, I don't always get to sit in that area every time I go and the rest of the restuarant is Classic Italian. The food is great though!! The potions are large, and the prices are perfect for the amount of food and quality of food that you get. Love the mussels, calamari, shrimp scampi, and have heard wonderful things about all the other dishes. Definitely go here! You won't be sorry.

  • Bob R.

It's a nice little local restaurant. The food is consistently good and the staff is very friendly. I order shrimp fra diavolo (not on the menu) and am never disappointed! Perhaps the only complaint would be the seating in the sun room. They should change it up. Otherwise, still a fan.

3 to 3-1/2 stars. We had dinner here with another couple. We started with the seafood dip, very gooey and rich and served with toasted bread. It could've used more seafood but it was tasty and just the right amount of app for the 4 of us. Next, a caesar salad: the romaine was crisp but the dressing left something to be desired. For an entree I chose chicken saltimboca, which was quite good and a solid portion size (enough so that I'll have the leftovers for lunch). My husband's filet mignon was cooked a perfect medium as requested, though the sides were unappealing - plain steamed carrots and what seemed like overdone home fries. Weird. A cannoli for me (good) and peanut butter pie for him (better) satisfied the sweet tooth. Our server was great and handled everything herself, a nice change from 3 or 4 different people showing up for water, drinks, clearing plates, etc. I really liked the feel of this place - warm and cozy, easily as comfortable for a date as it would be for a family. Overall a nice dinner, though a bit too pricey to return very often.

TRYING TO BE SOMETHING IT'S NOT. I really, really wanted to like this place. They have good intentions with friendly staff and a weird, but cozy atmosphere, but they fall very short of good. The building is located next to the Lotte's plaza and has a very cool outside decor. That lasts until you step through the doors and are guided out across warped laminate wood flooring to the encased patio (that reminds me of an old-school Wendy's). It's the winter holiday season and the place is strewn with shiny multi-colored glass balls, red stockings, and Christmas tree lights. It's a bit cheezy, but wasn't really bothered by it. What I did FIND DISTRACTING was the huge fake tree appearing (badly) to come out of the cheaply (and badly) laid stone flooring. There was also a random small birdhouse on a stick in the corner behind my dining partner. You could also see the barcode sticker on the bottoms of all the wall sconces. The MENU offers specials and their regular fare. "New" items are featured, too. OUR ORDER: We started out with one of their "New" items. It was a FRIED RISOTTO ball stuffed with crab meat over a bed of vodka sauce. I have NO IDEA HOW IT EVER MADE IT ONTO THE ACTUAL MENU. Two large balls came out on a plate of vodka sauce. There is TOO LITTLE crab meat, and the RISOTTO is WAY UNDERCOOKED, burnt yet chewy. They had a good idea, but it was a TOTAL FAIL. The ONLY GOOD PART was the VODKA SAUCE. (No really, the vodka sauce was really good). I had the SPINACH CALZONE. You can't really screw up a calzone, so there are few complaints here. It comes out looking as big as your head and as thick as your fist. There is a fair amount of stuffing, but I found it was rather unevenly dispersed with lots of "crust." My dining partner had the SPAGHETTI with MEAT SAUCE. I didn't taste it, but he said it was good. However, it was something he "could easily make it at home" (his words). We polished off the meal with a TIRAMISU pastry. It was good. Not the best, but good. (And if you've read my previous reviews, I'm very picky about my tiramisu). Bottom Line: The prices are a level up from the Olive Garden, yet you'd get a better meal at the Olive Garden. It's really way too expensive for the average quality of food you get. The price of the meal, including two drinks and the tip, was MORE THAN $70.

I come here for lunch. The food is ok--nothing amazing. I have eaten here over a dozen times. it is a convenient location and is the only non ethnic resataurant in the triangle shopping center. Not horrible, not amazing...

I ate here for the first time a few days ago and for the most part, it was great! I'm not sure why everyone hates on the decor, I thought it was a little quirky but cute. My boyfriend and I started with a bottle of Cabernet and the mussel appetizer (which was delicious!) I ordered the chicken piccata and my boyfriend got the gnocchi with shrimp and vodka sauce. My boyfriends meal was amazing but unfortunately, my piccata was pretty bad. The chicken had a weird/old taste to it and cutting it was almost impossible. I'm not sure if the rice they give you with it was supposed to be an attempt at risotto, but it was extremely mushy; the vegetable medley was the only part of my plate that I actually liked. Luckily my boyfriend shared some of his meal with me because I hate having to send meals back. We wanted dessert but they show you a dessert tray (ew!) and that turned us off to the idea. If we had just gotten a menu we would have ordered more. Our waitress, Sara, was awesome though. She was attentive but not overwhelming and she had a cute personality. The service made up for my meal being gross. I would go back, I would just steer clear of anything with chicken in it.

This is our favorite neighborhood place. Nice ambiance and friendly atmosphere. We usually sit in the bar area; it has a cozy feel. The food is consistently good; however we come here all the time so we are in a food rut. My husband loves the spaghetti with meat sauce or a steak and I usually get one of the salads or when I'm splurging the lobster mac and cheese which is amazing. I always have enough to wrap for lunch the next day. The fresh out of the oven bread is always yummy with the olive oil herb and parm mixture. They usually give us a $10.00 coupon off for the next visit which is a nice added touch. They are very accomodating. Quite simply, we are huge fans!

We've eaten here twice; once with a group of friends in the bar area and once we got take-out. Both times we were pleased with the food and the service. I think I had mushroom ravioli once, and one of the salads with added shrimp the second time. I can't remember what the boy (or the rest of the group) got the first time, but the second time he got the portobello sandwich with sweet potato fries. All of it was very good, and I remember the friends from the first visit also liking their food. The bartender was also very friendly and accomodating the first time as well. I will say though, that their prices are a little steep for what you get/portion size. They charged me $6 to add shrimp to my salad the last time, and it turned out to be 4 shrimp... Not gonna lie, I felt a bit taken in. Anyway, good food, good service, and they ask you to pay for it.

Went here for dinner one night. The hostess seemed a little confused and was running around trying to seat people. One we got seated we were tended to promptly. Bread arrived after a few minutes (it took too long in my opinion). It took a little while to arrive but our main course was hot and tasted fresh. My wife was not impressed with her fettuccine alfredo saying it lacked taste and was too salty. I was happy with my meal and with our overall experience. I will be trying their coal fired oven pizza next time.

  • Zoe T.

I have to say I was very disappointed at the clam linguine. Both the clams and pasta were way overcooked and the clams did not taste fresh at all. The dish came with a grand total of 4 real clams and some clam meat that seemed like they were out of a can. For that price point I was definitely expecting a little better quality. The pizzas and calzones out of the oven though smelled and looked really good. Also, I have to give credits to the server for her awesome service so here goes the 2 stars.

First time eating here and was very happy with my meal. Had veal parmigiana and the portion size was very generous. Atmosphere was very good to bring young children as it is very family friendly. Cannoli cake for dessert was very delicious. Would try this place again.

Try the Scallops Michelangelo. Lots of sweet scallops, a delicious, lemony sauce on top of garlic wilted spinach and cherry tomatoes, with a creamy mound of risotto in the middle. Wow. Good job, Stella Notte.

We dine here once very few months, and it's always cozy and welcoming, and usually good. One of my favorite Italian dishes is Chicken Marsala, and this place has some of the best I've had. My wife loves their liver & onions, which comes with sweet potato fries. We've also had their pizzas which are good, and their calamari, which is excellent.

My brother and I stopped in on a whim after a day of shopping. We ate at in the bar area since we wanted to get back to the city. Nice atmosphere but only so-so service. While the server came to our table often, she was always talking to her boyfriend or someone else. Not undivided attention. As the place filled up (we arrived around 5), you could tell this was a place of regulars. Everyone knew each other and the bartender knew their drink orders without asking. I had a broccoli, chicken, Alfredo pizza. Piping hot, great mix of flavors and the broccoli was fresh. My brother had cheese pizza with spinach and garlic. He enjoyed it but would've prefer ed the spinach sauteed. For dessert I had a lemon square, so-so, not enough lemon but a nice portion. My St. Michelle Riesling was fresh and nicely chilled. We'd go back but only if we were in the area.

This is definitely a hidden gem. You would never guess that it is actually this little location that has THE best pizza in the DC-Baltimore area. I have been on a hunt for a good pizza in this area for a year, got totally disappointed with 2 Amy any other DCs "best" they have got nothing on this little place. Great service great food!

This place is pretty great. The menu is pretty extensive and it includes the typical italian fare (parmigiana, lasagna, ravioli, etc) in addition to some more unique items. I ordered the blackened shrimp with tri-color tortellini in a creamy tomato pesto sauce...it was AMAZING. So rich and so good. Sometimes I think Italian restaurants just douse everything in cream and it really has no taste, but this was absolutely delicious. My husband got the gnocchi which comes with tomato sauce or in an alfredo sauce. He chose alfredo since he hadn't had it in a while but we both decided it probably would have been better in tomato sauce. While he savored the first few bites it was so rich he said it became almost tasteless toward the end. I also enjoyed the fact that the portions weren't ginormous (although some might prefer it this way). When you get such a rich meal you don't need such a huge portion and I thought it was refreshing to see a normal sized plate in front me at an Italian place! In terms of decor the restaurant was pretty cute. It looks like a little hut on an Italian mountainside. We also went when it was decked out for Christmas so it was pretty cozy and adorable. I didn't think the price was outrageous for what we got. My shrimp dish was about $20 and I had probably close to a dozen shrimp in the plate. It's not olive garden but if you're looking for a great italian place that won't break the bank this should be a winner!

I've driven past Stella Notte many times before finally having a meal there. It is cozy, attractive, and very comfortable inside. It definitely has a family feel, and it is very family friendly. I have brought my three-year-old with me, and they couldn't be nicer to her - bringing her a toy to play with while waiting for the food, and giving her coins to throw into the fountain. The food is of course the main selling point, and it is some of the best I have ever had. It seems everything is delicious from pizza, to hoagies, to traditional Italian entrees. Do yourself a favor and visit Stella Notte!!

Unique, cozy, individually owned and they made the best calzone I've ever had. I wasn't a fan of the pizza, but everything else I've had was delicious. I'll try to write up a more formal review...which fortunately should mean a few more visits.

Price is a little high but the staff seem to be happy and have a great work ethic. Some places don't treat their staff well (and not just money) and the service suffers. You don't go out to an italian restaurant just for the food, most of it it easy to make at home, you go for great food with top notch service. This place must have really great management, because the customer experience from entrance to exit is flawless. I was in the area for a few weeks on business this summer and I went to "the Notte" at least once a week with colleagues. Their weekday bartender, Nick, always kept our glasses and stomaches full and our smiles wide. Thanks for making a month away from home pass so fast! Food is amazing and the staff is always on top of their game.

And there drinks are very good as well. my girlfriends and i go here alot just to get drinks and its never really busy so its not loud and annoying like other bars.

I ordered a veggie lasagna and veggie tray for a party and was quite pleased with the quality of the food and the professionalism of the staff. The lasagna was chock full of veggies. I was pleased with the quality and quantity. The staff - from the cook who immediately took my order, to the hostess to the bartender - were all friendly and great to do business with. I wouldn't hesitate to order from them again at my next party.

This place is one of those hidden gems. Nestled in the Hmart plaza towards the front, I've often passed it but paid NO attention whatsoever, dismissing it as some oddball Italian joint. Note: their online menu is old; I guess it's good to know their business is so solid that they seemed to have loyal clientele, even with a totally outdated website! Upon entry, we were greeted warmly by a mom-like female who said "welcome to the best Italian food in the area!" We joked that we'll see about that after we try the food, and she chuckled at us. I like how they have 3 different but distinct "zones" for diners. We were seated in the "Old Italy" section near the wood-fire oven. Just behind us was the terrace area which is kind of like a greenhouse. I caught a glimpse of the bar area beyond the bathroom, and it was very blue and dark. The so-soft baked bread came covered by a cloth and the olive oil & parmesan dip was heavenly. We couldn't decide what was better in the grilled scallops appetizer: the perfectly grilled scallops themselves, or that delectable bed of spinach cooked with rosemary and garlic! So spot on in every way. Mmm. I ordered the scallop & shrimp alla scampi, and it was pretty delicious, very mild garlic & butter sauce and the shrimp and scallops were fresh. Overall, I enjoyed the nice & cozy--but not snobbish atmosphere, the selection of food (I would come again: scallops michelangelo--we will meet one of these days) and had a wonderful time. One note: They offered us dessert on a platter and they looked good, but I thought it was weird to have a platter, which I saw sitting outside in the open, stuck under your nose where so many people have breathed on it. I was a bit paranoid that they'd give us whatever was on that platter so my instinctive response was: no. But later, I saw them bring out separate plates of cake. So if anyone is sees that, don't worry, it's just how they present the desserts in slices.

Very clean, attentive wait staff, warm and inviting atmosphere, appealing decor. What more could you ask for? Not sure why this eatery isn't packed. (Probably because it is sandwiched between two off ramps. not initially easy to get to.) Nonetheless, this is a great alternative if Carraba's, Macaroni Grille is overbooked, or you don't feel like driving out to Columbia or Owings Mill. I believe you will get what you pay for. I enjoyed my experience here. I will return to find a favorite dish.

It took me 9 years to come to this restaurant even though it is right around the corner. The exterior of the restaurant is a bit dated. The interior decor of fake flower should be thrown away as well. Beside that Stella Notte provides great service and wonderful food. My family and I enjoyed every dishes even the garden salad tasted delicious. It is pretty homey cooking. We have no complaints.

Great ambiance Great staff Sub par food. My arrabbiata sauce was three huge pieces of tomato and not spicy at all Pasta was boiled out of a box and not fresh Such a nice location and place to have ok Italian food. Good for large parties though and kids since they had pizza. Probably won't come back for my Italian food fix

This place is so cute and quaint! I went here with my partner on a Friday night, though we're both in our mid-20's, we brought down the average age of the clientele in there from about 85 to around 82, which concerned me a little bit when I first walked in, but this place is pretty good! When we walked in, the hostess was so friendly and just chatted us up for a good two minutes after sitting us down. We struggled with the menu because everything looked so great but we settled with the Tomato Bruschetta, which was a little weird. The tomato mixture was amazing but it seemed like they used Texas Toast for the bread, so you had this amazing tomato mixture on top of Texas Toast. They also brought us some warm bread which I thought tasted better with the tomatoes, personally. Also the warm bread with the garlic oil they brought was amazing. I could have eaten just a meal of the bread and oil, really! I ordered the same thing I order at every Italian Restaurant, the veal parmesan, and it was just as good as expected! My partner got the spaghetti squash and he loved it as well. They also have what looks to be a great dessert menu...would I be back? Definitely! I'd just change the bread they use with the bruschetta.

I can not wait until my next opportunity to dine at Stella Notte. The cuisine itself could easily stand up against the best of restuarants I've visited throughout Italy. However, the real spotlight of the evening belongs to the truly outstanding service from every employee of the restaurant. The manager went out of his way to get us a table promptly, despite the fact that we were in no rush and happy to get a very dirty martini from the smiling, enthusiastic bartender. Our waiter was more than knowledgable and the timing of every course couldn't have been more perfect. On the way out, the chef was standing by the door. The grey haired gentleman engaged us in conversation and was more than interested to hear our opinions of our experience. This may be the only time I've ever requested Yelp the add a 6th star. "Last night, I experienced something new, from a singularly unexpected source. To say that both the meal and its creator have challenged my preconceptions about italian cooking is a gross understatement. They have rocked me to my core. "

Chicken Parmesan was good and reasonably priced. Meatballs a little dry.

Very good pasta. Delicious desert. Very pleasant surroundings. The owner/hostess is very nice but the waitress was snotty.

I should've just walked away when food came out doughy and undercooked but I didn't. And guess what - I got food poisoning here earlier this week!! Maybe it was an off night or something but I certainly won't be back.

This place is really a hidden gem located in the same shopping center as Lotte. (korean supermarket) My hubby and I have passed by this place for like 5 years now and always thought it was shut down or something haha. Fortunately, we tried this place the other night and it was DELICIOUS! Customer service was excellent and even the owner came by to tell us good night before she left. First off, the bread is SO FREAKING GOOD! It was so warm and soft, it just melted into your mouth. I love me some good quality bread like that. We also got the Coconut Shrimp appetizer since it was 1/2 off appetizer Tuesday!!! It was so good....that I'm like salivating just thinking about it. Our entrees was excellent and very delicious. We even brought home leftovers because the portions were VERY healthy. I will definitely be coming back for our Italian food fix. YAY!

Stella Notte is in a location that causes people to miss it or have a hard time getting to it. But when you do get there, it is worth the effort. Our party of 4 was promptly greeted and seated. The place was not crowded which could be attributed to the cold rainy weather we were having. The menu includes lunch fare (sandwiches), pizza, or entrees. We went for several of the entrees (chicken parmesan and marsala and shrimp alla rosa with house salads) and we were all very pleased with the presentation, preparation, and taste of our meals. The food was every bit as good as if not better than you would get in Little Italy in Baltimore. The courses were served promptly but not before the previous course was finished by all. The desserts are not for the faint of heart as they are all diet busters but so worth it. A plate with examples of all of the desserts is presented for your decision making process. No guessing what you are going to get. All in all, a very pleasant experience and we will return. What cause them to lose a star? The waiter never offered to refill water or iced tea glasses and we had an extremely long wait for our check and for him to pick the check up. These problems can be easily corrected by management.

Good, solid Italian food for not a lot of money. My gnocchi in tomato sauce was $14, and there was a lot of it. Ambiance is lovely, and the wait staff was terrific. I will totally come back.

Delicious meal and excellent service! We had Trout Almandine and Hawaiian Pizza. Yelp helped us find this little gem. Highly recommend.

Went here to celebrate my grandparents 65th wedding anniversary! I wanted to like this place a little bit more because of the occasion, but 3 starts is what it is. Food - lets start with the important stuff. Though we were limited on menu items because we were on a party menu, I managed to sample other people's food so I could get a good sense. It's average Italian food. Better than an Olive Garden (what isnt), but not as good as some other places I've eaten. Chicken parm was good, linguine with clam sauce was soupy and a little bland, and the veggie lasagna was passable. Salads were all what you would expect and so was the cake for desert. Service - The wait staff did a good job of having a presence, though it wasnt the best. I had to beg for water twice, not sure why that wasnt the first thing. I also had to track down a waitress so I could put in a drink order. They only served half of the room and never came back for anyone else. They did not do a good job of cleaning off the tables when they took the plates, crumbs and pieces of food were left behind. Everyone had a pleasant demeanor, which I greatly appreciated and they even were willing to play paparazzi and took some photos of our group. Atmosphere/Ambiance - this is where the 3 stars got solidified. We ate in the patio room, which is a bit cheesy and old looking. The flagstone floor made it tough to keep tables and chairs solid, everyone was wobbling around. The fake ivy and fruit on the ceiling was a bit dated. There was plastic wrap and tape on the windows over our heads, thank goodness it was not raining. I have to say this took away a bit of the ambiance for me. Overall it worked for us for what we were trying to do. With some improvements in service and ambiance, this place could easily be a 4 or even a 4.5 in my book.

Italian Cuisine

The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.

Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.

If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.
